I saw this on cable last night - it was so heavily censored that it resembled a history channel documentary re-creation. what is the name of the song from start???? The movie was produced and "conceived" by Penthouse mag publisher Bob Guccione. And despite the breathless narration in the trailer, it's not particularly shocking or gross. Instead it has an incomprehensible story line, bad dubbing reminiscent of those Italian-made Steve Reeves "gladiator" movies of the 1960s, and grainy semi-pornographic scenes seemingly inserted at random. Awwwwww yeahhhhhh. On Netflix Instant, y'all. (As are *Buckaroo Banzai, Blacula,* the original *Escape to Witch Mountain*, *Doom Generation*, *Gallipoli*, *High Noon*, *Last Tango in Paris*, *Leverage* (woot!), *Messenger of Death* (which I've never seen but looks fun), and *Silent Running*, Also *Say Anything*, which I've also never seen but people of my generation seem to like quite a bit.) Almost think they were going to call this movie Gore Vidal's Caligula but he took his name off it. great soundtrack Hey does anyone know if this movie has any nude scenes? Thanks. Living on Red's vitamin "si" and cocaine. Porn scenes are not bad at all. The first part is a short Australian teaser trailer The second part is the longer trailer for the theatrical version of an Italy USA co-production Directors: Tinto Brass, Bob Guccione Starred: Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, Helen Mirren, John Gielgug, Teresa Ann Savoy Original title: Caligola Alternative titles: Caligula, My Son; Io, Caligola DVD: The best is the 3-disc version released in the USA, or the recent 4-disc version released in the UK
